Simply Pastel
Christina and Jeff
Some weddings stay with you long after the last petal has been packed away — and this one at the beautiful Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver is one I’ll never forget.
Our bride was pure sunshine. Bubbly, sweet, and effortlessly amazing — the kind of person who makes everyone feel like family the second you meet her. She gave me total freedom to create, which is such a gift for any floral designer. Her energy was easy-going, full of joy, and made the whole process feel like I was designing for a dear friend.
Bridal Bouquet
To complement her pastel-toned wedding, we went with a soft, simple, but modern bridal bouquet — a gentle mix of blush and white, just like her vibe: timeless and fresh. The bouquet featured delicate roses and elegant orchids, creating the dreamiest texture with just the right amount of movement.
Sometimes, less really is more — and this bouquet proved it. Clean, feminine, and intentional. Just like her.
Bridal Party Flowers
For the bridal party, we created a slightly smaller version of the bride’s bouquet—but with a thoughtful twist. We kept the orchids exclusive to the bride, making her bouquet feel even more special and set apart. To complement the soft pink blush gowns the bridesmaids wore, we added just the right hint of blush florals, tying everything together in a way that felt romantic, modern, and totally effortless.
Unforgettable Centrepieces
The centrepieces were truly something special—elegant, airy, and unforgettable. We used white compote vases made from a soft clay material that beautifully echoed the whitewashed charm of homes in Santorini, a subtle nod to the bride’s Greek heritage. The clean white base allowed the vibrant pastel blooms to shine—a joyful mix of textures and colours that felt fresh, romantic, and full of life. Each table felt like a little celebration of love, family, and timeless beauty.
The Head Table & Floating Floral Trees
The long head table sat in front of a stunning window, flooded with natural light—a perfect canvas. We lined the table with glowing candles and scattered bud vases filled with a dreamy mix of blooms in different colours and textures. It was soft, romantic, and elegant—just like the bride.
Since she gave me full creative freedom (the dream!), I wanted to surprise her with something bold and unforgettable. Directly above the head table, we designed and installed five upside-down floral trees. It wasn’t easy—especially with the ceiling being sky-high—but I was determined to make them look like they were floating. Each tree held its own mix of flowers, turning the ceiling into a garden in the sky. The best part? That moment when she saw them for the first time—you can actually see her reaction in one of the photos. Pure magic.
A Pastel Floral Mix
We used a dreamy mix of pastel blooms—different styles and shades of dahlias, roses, spray roses, lisianthus, ginestra, and orchids. Each flower added its own texture and tone, creating a soft, romantic look that felt fresh and beautifully layered.
