Funeral ribbon traditions vary between cultures, religions and individual families. We customize the language, message, ribbon colour, lettering and placement to respectfully reflect each family’s wishes.
Because every family’s tradition is personal, we are happy to confirm the exact wording and design before attaching the ribbon. Each ribbon is placed securely and thoughtfully so the message remains clearly visible without covering or damaging the flowers.
How other cultures do it
Italian
1 wide sash or 2 tails. Diagonally across the flowers, or two tails from a bow at the top/side
Chinese
Usually 2 Ribbons:  Paired vertical ribbons are commonly used, with the tribute message on one side and the sender’s name on the other.
Iranian/Persian
Commonly 1 Ribbon. Ribbons may be written in Farsi or English and often include the deceased’s name,
Croatian
Usually 2 Ribbons. Long vertical ribbons: tribute message plus sender. Traditionally mounted above or alongside a standing tribute; on a casket spray they can be laid flat or diagonally
Spanish and Latin American
Commonly 1 or 2. One sash across the arrangement, or two ribbons hanging from a top or side bow
Polish

Hindu/South Asian
No fixed number. Some families prefer no ribbon; when requested, usually 1 or 2. Confirm the family’s faith and preferred wording
